I only have one weekend on my truck so I can only speak from that experience. But I had Avids on my truck, traction was ridiculously high, jumps were HUGE and there were lots of high speed sweeapers wich really side loads the rear bearings. I just checked my bearings and they all still feel really good

i would think the bearing issues are related to tire balancing issues, i started using the jconcept crosshairs, they are perfectly balanced they dont shake at all, havent had a issue with the stock bearings

I also run balanced tires and never had a wheel bearing go bad. I even ran I set for 3 gallons and never blew one on my 1.0. Just trying to see if this is just a bad batch of bearing or something I should invest in.

I can say that I have had the 8T2.0 to the track 3 times and came home with a blown rear outter wheel bearing twice. I am getting the bigger bearings in order to try to avoid failures in the future. I know exactly how I am blowing them, and would like to try to fix it before any other options.

what tires are you running js max? if its prolines and you are not keeping up with balancing them then that could be the issue, i found the prolines needed to be balanced everytime i ran them

the cross hairs have molded foams, not sure if they are open or closed cell, the double dees are not molded but they balance out just as good as the others, i practiced this weekend and ran 2 qualifiers and a 30 minute main on a abrasive blue groove track and still have tread left, i ran the soft blue compound also, didnt have to balance them at all they are perfectly balanced

what i am doing is modding the outer bearing race to fit a 8x16x5 which replaces the stock bearing that is an 8x14x4 not much to do for the inners but the longer the outers last the longer the inners last. here is the pic of the hub and spindle with the bigger bearings.

I have got about a gallon on the truck now and I am on the third set of outer rear bearings. I have a set of modded hubs on the way from J-DUB. As soon as I can put some time on them, I will post a review.
