Yes, it is in reference to tires like Pro-line's new V3 series, which are a bit wider than a standard tire.

I'm glad they are illegal with the major sanctioning bodies. Not only are there 100000000 different tires out there already, but then having to start dealing with different widths? It seems a bit to much. Racing to expensive already.

Like one of the comments on neo-buggy they used them at the worlds. You can run them at club races and where they don't enforce or use rules

Your D8 wheels are perfectly legal, they are a larger diameter than what the old standard 1/8 wheels used to be but are not any wider. These so called outlaw tires and wheels are wider. Your D8 wheels are roughly the same dimensions as the Losi, AKA, and Proline V2 wheels which are kinda becoming the new standard size.

I think the wider tires are going to be the way to go. You get more rubber so tires should last longer, and they will probably only be a couple bucks more per set once other companys start making them.

The only problem I have with wide tires/wheels is that on some buggies, they don't work in the front because when steering it would rub on something. Will this mean new design for buggies that just came out?
