They come with bodies and unless they changed to better bodies , the stocks are very thin and don`t hold up . Some use Mugen , AE , believe Xray bodies . Naturally Mugen will fit best as it is basically a Mugen .
I have had decent luck with the newer style body.
The MBX6 body will fit if you use the 6 sideguards. Helps to narrow it up.

BIG RE Hi everyone, I have recently been informed that I will be a part of the 2010 team and I am very exited to get started. I have been doing as much reading on the zx1.5r as possible but I can't seem to find out if the zx1.5r comes with a body or not. Can someone post a pic of it if it does. I also see that many people are using bodies meant for different cars. Which body is the best fit, I see some people having clearance issues with the steering servo horn. Thanks
Glad to hear we'll be running together next year Red.
I might be going up to Reddng for work so if I do we can practice together there at the snake.

I ran the jc for 808 and the header would rub on the body. So I used the Jc scoopless for the RC8 and it fits great. Don't get the RC8 hi flow cuz it sets to low and the throttle linkage will rub bad. I think the MP9 would work too.
For you new drivers don't be afraid to play with rear diff fluid. The cars basic setup is very good and you can fine tune it by changing the rear diff fluid easily. my .02 from last season. If you have any questions ask away I did a fair amount of testing on mine this last year.

Correct. The older bodies that came with the kit were very thin. I kept waiting for the new ones but didn't happen. Maybe they are ready now. Good luck guys.
There are new ones out now. They are a 2 piece. They are listed as the zx1r body, but they are the new ones.
Chris has been running new bodies with good luck. I would say our new bodies are equal to Mugen ones which is 100 times better than before. They are still not up to the quality of the proline or jconcepts, but in my opinion, no company is.

Yes the new body is decent for a factory body. Mine has held up well on my fusion. Only thing I did was use a little tape on the inside just to make sure but did not have to use anything else like on the previous bodies. It is about equal to the quality of the stock Mugen etc body that come with the kits. Here is a pic.

ran my buggy this weekend at the sidewinder nitro explosion in beaumont,ca
car is dialed tons of steering I just need to work on driving it(haven't driven buggy in over a year) and my motor ran like crap(bad quals+crappy motor) only managed 7th in the intermediate buggy D-main
gonna do cleaning up and re-run it..buggy is definitely there just the driver sucked it up...
btw thanks to Shaun Kirkman for helping me out and congrats on putting the caster buggy in the expert b-main great run for caster hopefully I can do the same in the future

I think that is the best video I have seen of the 1.5R in action. Looks DIALED. Glad you liked it. Most people say that after giving the buggy a chance and see it can and will compete with the best.

Nice to see you finally making it out with the Casters and racing it. It is a little hard going from truggy to buggy. I just got my fusion back up and running, should be maybe running it this weekend with the K8T.
Also here is a video that has Shaun Kirkman at Revelations with the Caster 1.5R. He comes in the video at the 4:15 mark in the video.
