--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ran the last race of the SNOWS series ant Mike's RC World in Bellingham WA last night. I just needed to finish in the A close to Sean the Canadain. Just did regular maintence to prepare for this, didnt change any setup. Practiced 1 tank and thought it was pretty good. The track changes quickly. One minute the track is great, the next it's like ice. It was snowing outside while we were running to give you an idea on how cold it was. Here's how it went down.

1st Quil: Buggy ran good but Pather Raptor's were not the tires of choice. Was sitting 8th in the A.

2nd Quil: bolted on some Switch 2.0's. Tons better but everybody else got faster too. Bumbed to 2nd in the B.

B Main, 10 min. 1 mandatory pit: Huge pileup in the 2nd turn, of course it was my buggy on the bottom, not running either. Got it back to the pits and fired up and back out, last 1 lap down. I just drove smooth and steady, not making to many mistakes and taking chances. At the 4 min mark I was on the lead lap and runnin 3rd and second was a straightaway ahead. Had to pit soon. I had caught and passed 2nd with 3min to go and came to pitroad, back to 3rd. With 2min to go I had reeled in on 2nd and took over the bumb postion for the rest of the race. Yea on to the A Main
After the B, my pit guy said I was loosing fuel somewhere but I didnt see anything wrong. Didnt have much time to wrench as I was announcing the races too. The buggy lost 1 of the bellcrank screws on the bottom but my guys fixed it before the A and where looking into the fuel issue.

A Main, 15 min, no man pit: Started last of course and at the tone I just cruised. Just wanted to finish the race without having to leave the stand. I pitted twice just to be sure of the fuel every 5 min. It was loosing fuel somewhere. Upon leaving pit lane, the buggy had a long trail of fuel comming from it. My guess the fuel tanks got a crack but havent looked at it closely. Will report my findings. Finish 7th right behind Sean so I sealed 3rd overall in the points. Next race is in 2weeks fun/trophy race for the series.

Getting ready for the last race of the DC Off Road Park series saturday night. I am in first by 3 points over 2nd and 7 over 3rd, so it a close race. Just glued up some Jconcepts Cross hairs for the 1.5R as my Caster tires have 7 races on them and one foam split after the tire got sliced by something. Sold all my Panthers. Will try out these Cross Hairs since my panthers I could not get to work on any surface for me. Hopefully the 1.5R does great. Have not had to touch a thing on it except for clutch shoes and bearings. Been taking a beating!

Here is the final points standings for the Winter Series I raced in with the 1.5R. Missed out on 1st by one point which would have been a tie but I have the most TQ's so would have won it. JConcepts Cross hairs worked awesome!! Whole day of running and now wear!

"1/8 Buggy Overall TQ

For this class I had to use the average starting position (5 of 6 races) to determine the overall TQ.

So the winner is:

Chris Figueroa: average 2.6"

Nice work Chris, have you tried the Double Cross tires yet? I just mounted up my first set of those going to try them this weekend. They look quite interesting, can't wait to see how they work. I've also got some Crossbows and Crowbars, but most intrigued by the Double Cross tires. Nate.

They're big, but they're not as big as something like a Pro-Line Knuckle. They're a wide pin, but not that tall. They have peaked my curiousity and I had to experiment with some.

Woohoo, I came in last place!

I lost a shock during qualifying and had to run my Dad's buggy. Even got it on the track one lap down and did ok. What happened to the guy I beat in that race? :P
