any way i got a caster racing buggy today its the old old style rtr with the force engine and blue anodizing. and the clutch starting slipping really bad. i looked and the shoes are glazed over easy fix, but i wouldnt mind going to longer lasting aluminium shoes. if so whats a good base line set up?
im just bashing right now but intend to do some track time and try to improve my driving skill (normally race on road wanted something a lil different).
so whats your opinion on clutch set ups?
also does any one know how to convert the force to a bump start? where can i find a back plate?.
cheers guys
Last race out with my buggy I tried a set of Dynamite Aluminum long last shoes with Mugen 1.0 springs. After a full race day, the shoes barley had any wear. I was impressed. As far as your motor, I'm not familure with the Force motor but Someone will be with you shortly though.

aus jd 2703 id recommend staying with the nylon/black shoes with 1mm springs or put 1 ally shoe and 2 nylon. They will last long and give good performance.
Full ally i would recommend only for racing and if you prepared to strip and check the clutch regularly. With the ally shoes i find teh clutch gets hot and wears out bearings faster and the ally also burrs the bell so maintenance is needed more often.

The track looks so different from all my local tracks. There are no jumps.
Looks like a good track for close racing.

I would love to run both the Fusion and the 1.5r this summer. Maybe the tax man will be good to me.

You're missing a key element of your formula (Tf = ((9/5)*Tc) + 32) By adding 32 and you'll get (drum roll please)........93!

So me and Brian (BBennet) ran at DC Off Road park in Avon Park saturday and Hurricane RC park on sunday. Weekend went really well. Here goes.

At Avon Park it was the 3rd race of there points series. Ran the Caster ZB01 tires in front and ZB02 Tires in rear for the 5th straight race in a row. I TQ'd buggy and Brian Qualified 2nd overall (Still running the STOCK KIT TIRES AND FOAMS FOR THE 5TH RACE TOO!) In the A-main me and Brian got out front only to be cautious of each other in the first turn trying not to bump each other and still got tangled up together!!! I think we both ended up last out of the turn. After a couple turns we worked our way back up to 3rd or 4th or so. Me and Brian continued to work out way through pack and eventually I got out front and him in second. I got almost a 30 second lead on Brian but he hunted my down and got in the same turn (funny thing is I did the same to him the last race). He ended crashing like I did before and I pulled another 10 or so second lead and it about stayed that way and we ended up 1-2!! Bob Carhardt, a friend of ours also ran his 1.5R and worked his way up to 4th and was about to take 3rd when his battery died. Would have been 1-2-3! So in the end my and Brian got the 1.5R's in 1st and 2nd for the second time in a row there!!

At hurricane we did ok. I had tire problems all day, could not get anything to work on the track (1st time I was loose with the Caster tires). Qualifed 6th in B and Brian qualified 3rd in A!! (STILL RUNNING STOCK KIT TIRES AND FOAMS, NEW SET THIS TIME!) I put on a new set of JConcepts DD's for the B-main with new rims and in the B I battled with the leader for a little bit but he pulled away and I finished 2nd to bump to the A-main. So there was 4 Caster's in the A-main. Got off to a bad start and me and Brian were last for awhile and Steve was GONE battling for 1st with a 100% Kyosho Driver and Brian pulled away from me while I again had tire and traction issues, I was 11th and Brian was 8th.

Great 2 days of Racing!!

Default PsychoNitro Blast!!!

Sooo, how did the Team Caster drivers (both sponsored and non) do at the Psycho Nitro Blast last weekend?????

This race is known as one of the toughest races on equipment of any around! Should have been a GREAT durability test for this buggy & Truggy!!!

Did they run an electric 1/8th class????
