Questions?? Fioroni???

A buddy of mine says the Fioroni clutch system is awesome and people have used them for 2 straight race seasons without replacing them...Now I'm wondering if I should get this setup for my XT8 with os .28?? What do you guys think? Thanks

Are we talking about the sliding shoe clutch with the one big wrap around spring or the more conventional three shoe vario clutch?

I don't know anything about them...I guess I'm talking about the one that lasts longer with a os .28.

im guessing this is the clutch you are talking about.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/13236

if thats it then yes this clutch will last atleast one race season garunteed. i have run this clutch in my losi truggy for a year and a half now and still am running the original shoes. and i have had tons of different high performance engines on it. you will enjoy this clutch.

Default Clutch

I use the two shoe setup with the black shoes. I also only run two springs on it (one in the front and one in the back). The clutch seems to be alot smoother this way.

the 4 shoe works great in a buggy

they work okay on a 28, they suck on a 21 in a truggy...they absolutely kill a 21's bottom end in a Truggy.........and they severely tame down the bottom of a 28.... good clutch, but it doesn't have enough snap for my taste...............

ive got one but the flywheel is always coming loose on my notors. what collet are you guys using with it? i think its a good clutch but because of this problem its not worth using it. do you guys have any ideas? i tighten up the clutch nut really tight, but its always coming loose.

if you hate maintenance this is the clutch !!!! i used to run this clutch for about 3 years and went through one tube of clutch bell bearings (10). maximo is right about taking bottom from an engine , although they are a great tuning option to have in the pit box . use on loose loamy surfaces fioroni turbo or turbo twin turbo sliding clutch . teflon , carbon , glass and i dont know what the red material is but that is the fourth material in the line up . carbon and teflon are the goods

Absolutely amazing clutch!!! I wouldn't run anything else. Has amazing snap. no mantinence. clutch bearings last 3-4x longer. and the clutch shoes last forever.

It is a great clutch. But for anyone who says it kills bottom end power is probably running old springs. Always keep a set of new springs on hand with this clutch. Although the shoes last forever, the springs still need to be replaced as often as any other clutch.

you are nuts if you are going to try and tell me this clutch system has anywhere near the snap as 3 aluminum shoes with 1.0 springs i am a very knowledgeable racer and replaced the springs with the stiff clutch springs about every half gallon of runtime anyway the clutch is definitely worth the money which isnt much really
