Default Maybe someone has a link?

I would really like to buy a bag full of shims. I always find I need shims for the colete, shims for the flywheel, shims for the clutch bell, shims for the diffs, etc. etc. Do any of you have a link to a bag full of standard 1/8 scale off road shims that i can buy. I have no clue what the various sizes are and its a pain in the butt to find all the different shims I need at various times. Thanks in advance.

OFNA makes a shim kit that comes with a bunch of different shims that are used in the RC industry. Not sure of its part #. Its like $5.00 or some thing like that. Its a good kit to have, It's saved me, and a few of my fellow racers on more then one race day.

I don't think you will find a combo of shims like you are hunting. The next best thing is to go on Amain and type shim into the search. It will list out everything you need. You just need to decide what it is.

That's perfect, Thanks Will! and Steve, you were a big help also, but Will had a link! he wins.

I still need to find the Diff and Engine head shims, but this is a great start. Thanks

Still waiting on Mr. Clarkston to rebuild my V-spec sucks, so for this weekend I will run the Hyper .21 8-port race. Its my practice engine, but I love it, and it should be fine at that small track at Hobbytown. If James can't get my Vspec to not suck anymore, I'll drop in the new Picco EVO before the next Pit series race

I'm good for now. i just ordered the clutch shims from A-main,(thanks again) and my Hyper is shimmed for 25% which is all I run in it. My diffs are perfect. I'm just tired of switching out motors/clutches/Nitro fuel, and not having the right shims.

I have the parts manual for the Hyper .21 i have been running this engine for years. Its the OS and the Picco I will need shims for. Most engines come shimmed only for up to 25% Nitro

I'm not 100% sure but i believe OS shim their motors for up to 30% nitro? I know my Speed's manual says it's set for up to 30%. might want to check for the standard V-spec? Having said that, i put the extra included brass shim in my speed for the run-in process and am yet to take it out... Not sure i want to, cos the damn thing screams! Some of the tuning articals i've read say that more shims will allow the motor to rev harder and less shims gives more torque... with in reason of course

Thanks Lowey. I have an extra shim for the V-spec, but that whole engine dont work right now. I am more concearned with the Picco that's coming. They are only shimmed up to 25%, and they don't come with extra shims
