Default Novarossi N21B "Limited Edition"

Anyone know the difference between the 2000 "Limited Edition" model http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/31073, which goes for $150, vs. the 2001 model http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/9124, which goes for $180?

Thanks

Based off the pics the difference appears to be in the carburetor. It looks like the limited has the standard novarossi style carb that can accept a venturi reducer, and is also the nylon/aluminum body as to where the original carb is all aluminum and does not accept a restrictor. Either way it is a good running little motor.

In the description it states that it has a larger rear bearing but in the specs it shows a 13mm crank but it also shows in the specs that it has a aluminum carb with only one adjustment so I know the specs are wrong for this engine. I have seen on another site where it shows this engine running a 14mm rear bearing. So I'm curious if there are any more changes done to this engine.

This question has been asked before on RCTech:

NovaRossi N21B 2000 or 2001 BF?

Edit: Sorry, I didn't look closely enough. That thread appears to be referring to the same engines as this thread.

I ordered one of these yesterday 149 with 10% off code and free shipping= $134.99 shipped. I believe this is a newly release engine that is made up of the older discontinued parts. I believe this engine has the 13mm crank regardless of what it says. And that carb in the picture is the same carb as the P5. The 3 port economy engines don't come with that carb so Im not holding my breath on receiving that carb. Im sure it will come the cheaper(non venture) carb shown in the BF2001 picture. Either way, can't beat $135

I believe that the engine is completely new and uses a P5 case and carb. Check this out on novarossi usa http://http://www.novarossiusa.com/p...roducts_id=973 If you look up the rear bearig for this engine on that website it is the 14mm bearing.

The description states the two needle carb, which is the same as my 2001. The description states the motor is a short stroke, but it is actually a square stroke. Bore: 16.42 mm Stroke: 16.42 mm. Anyway, my 2001 keeps up with most motors on a tight track and has more top end than the RB S3. I use a JP-2 pipe as suggested by the Novarossi thread on SGRID.

The 2035 is also a good pipe for this engine.
A little more punch than the strictly top end pipes.
