The 3 port economy engines don't come with that carb so Im not holding my breath on receiving that carb. Im sure it will come the cheaper(non venture) carb shown in the BF2001 picture. Either way, can't beat $135

When you receive it, if you would let us know some of the details that would be great.

Thanks

The 3 port limited edition comes with the standard nova carb that accepts inserts and uses the old style P5 case so it has the larger rear bearing. I do not know if it has the 14mm or 13mm crank though.

The difference is a 14mm crank instead of the 13mm with the 2000 and a higher heat sink thats all.limited edition i dont think so .

The limited edition is a small run of mills that they have put different carbs on and used different cases. Unless you have seen one come out of the box that has the LIMITED EDITION sticker on it I would reccomend checking one out before you post your opinions

I noticed they mentioned 25% nitro. Is this the limit? I usually run 30% and wanted to stay with that. I plan to use it for indoor racing season here in Michigan. 3 ports should be fine for small-medium size track.

Thanks.

I interpret this as no more than 25% nitro in stock setup. Add an extra head shim and it should be fine for 30%.

I was thinking the same- shimmed from the factory for 20-25%. I guess you cant beat the price! Mine should be here next week.

I run my 2001BF on 30% and I haven't installed and extra head shim nor have I had any detonation but I think it really depends on your elevation and where you live.

I live/race in Michigan. no real elevation here. I'll install an extra thin one to be on the safe side.

I just picked up a 2001 BF and i have that same carb but my case looks a bit different. so i guess its the crank and bearing that is different....and it doesn't say "Limited" on the head.
