I had the same problem with my Losi until I started running the mesh real loose. When you set the mesh and you think its normal go a little further. The amount of flex the car has allows the crank shaft and clutch bell to hammer away at the spur gear, so something has to give,"the bearings" When I started running a loose mesh my problems went away. I could go several races without changing bearings. I myself run the Avid Revolutions. If you have had several failures your crank end my be bent or the clutch bell my be oblong and thus no matter what you do you may continue to eat bearings.

Ya, a tight mesh is for electric... LOL!

These 1/8th scale cars don't need such a tight gear mesh, it might not sound as good being a bit loose but its better for bearings.

well the tight gear mesh could very well be it. because its not tight that it binds or that it strips clutch bells because since i had it ive never had to replace it. ill try messin with the mesh and make it looser
