Default Difference between a Losi 8 RTR and a regular Losi 8 buggy

Hello,

I am considering making a trade for a new Losi 8 RTR buggy and it looks nice but I need someone to let me know what the differences are in the normal first generation standard kit buggy Losi 8 and the RTR version would be. I know about the radio gear stuff. Examples like shocks, towers, drive train stuff like that.

I have many years of experience in RC but mostly in electrics on and off road. The only nitro experience I have is in on road 8th.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has been disscussed before.

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks,

Shocks Towers are different material. Diffs are filled with grease and not fluid. I can't remember if the chassis is different or not

There are quite a few differences between the 2 and if you plan on racing, I would rather look for a race roller or kit. Here is a list of the differences:

LOSI
Chassis RTR = aluminum: Kit/Roller = Flex tuned CNC machined.
Schocks RTR = normal alu.shafts Kit/Roller = TiNi
Shock Caps RTR = plastic Kit/Roller = Aluminum
Shock Towers RTR = aluminum Kit/Roller = 4mm stronger and better grade
Diffs RTR = grease Kit/Roller = silicon fluid
Clutch = 2 shoe only Kit/Roller = 4 shoe clutch 2alu/2carbon

All aluminum parts on the RTR are of a lower grade i.e. toe/anti squat plate etc.
I purchased an RTR and have upgraded to race roller over a period of time at considerable cost. It is actually way more expensive in the long run.
Those are all the ones I can think of at the moment. Hope this helps.
