5955 discontinued, replaced by the 5995.

wrong...

7955 replaced the 5955

5995 has been out just as long as the 5955

no, because it has a better motor and doesn't turn a full 180 degrees like that robot one you linked...

I love my servo combo on my XT8...JR z9100s for throttle/brake and Hitec 7955 for steering. The throttle to brake transition speed is awesome and you can't beat the power of the 7955 on steering.

Hitec will fix or replace most any of their servos for free any time . My TG59xx series series servo the one w 300 oz only lasted a year. The JR race servos are much tougher and more expensive. I about puked when I doled out $140 at the track for the 400oz red case#####????? but the buggy never felt as tuned in. All the guys at the working at LHS all have the hitecs but have put them in their non buggy/truggy RCs. Or use them for throttle ect.
Hobbico are hitecs for less so check them out but less models to choose from . The new AE are hot servos for less should be on your short list if your looking to save a few bucks.

Thumbs up

Imo, best servo I've ever had. I have three of them and they are 3 years old and going strong.

I was going to get the Jr 9100s and 9100t for my new truggy. What one is better the Hitec Or JR. I can get the JR's for $125 a piece so price isn't that big of a deal...I know the Hitec's are cheaper..
