Hambone : ive seen the performance comparison, as well as the price comparison... i can say with confidence.... the speed crank is stupid.

it was a great deal - and ya that motor on ebay looked messed up... all i wanted was the crank and the head but i woulda been takin a chance.
if im lucky ill have the new stuff goin for practice on sunday and ill let u guys know how the jx parts work out in the os

i got back out to the track today after the rebuild. it was hot, 90degrees and dry. first thing i noticed with the new crank was the motor was running really really hot, and it was a pain in the butt to tune down, very very touchy (might not say much considering im no tech guru).

after i ripped half my hair out i finally got a decent idle and a temp around 225-230. i ran about 5 or so tanks and everything was good. I cant say i noticed much of a difference, but there were a few other guys at the track with vspecs and i can say i was pulling on them in the straits.

and then, out of no where, i lost my tune. never had that happen before... put in a new plug with no luck- i was tired and on my last tank anyway so i went home. we'll see how things go next week...
