I have a really bad noise coming from my centre diff what could it be i need help quick got race in 2 dayss !! HELP!!!!!!

Low diff fluid, internal gears worn out, internal gears improperly shimmed, bad carrier bearing(s), bad clutchbell to spur mesh, spur and clutchbell worn out, bad clutchbell bearings are some of the possible problems.

What sound is it making, clunking, whinning, etc.?

You need to take it out first of all and look for something obvious. Only thing that would be wrong with the center diff but not actually is the diff itself that could be making noise would be gear mesh with the spur and clutchbell or the diffs bearings holding it to the center mounts.

Just to reiterate what the others have said.

First, check gear mesh and the condition of the clutchbell and spur gear.

if that's not it:

2. Check clutch bearings.

3. Pull out the diff and check the bearings it rides on.

4. Now that the diff is out, work the diff by hand to see if it feels clunky or notchy or gritty or just plain screwed. If it is take it apart and look for worn out or misaligned internals. In fact, do this even if it feels fine.

5. If you still haven't found the problem, keep looking elsewhere.

if it was an RTR then it probably had grease not diff silicon in it. When you clean it put in the appropriate weight of silicon in the diff.

Mracer Its a noise like it has bad grooves in gears and sounds like a growl

got any ideas?

me and my dad are about to change the gears see if it fixes them :P
