Default Toe in - Tow out

Ok. well my buggy has about 3degrees toe out at the front and 3degrees tow in at the rear.

is this too much.

if i change the rear to 1degree toe in will this give me more top end speed, or will it affect handling.

also. the front toe out, i know they shouldn't be toe in, but how much tow out is too much.

thanks

well i will give my 2 cents. the less toe in the rear yes more top speed is possible, but it will be a little more loose in the rear. on the front it is the same, more tow out and yes it does scrub top speed on the straights, also tow out is better turn in and toe in is the opposite. hope this helps.

+1

I would go to 2 degrees front and either stay at 3 or go to 2.5 in the rear. I think its affects on top speed are on down the list of things that will slow you down.

thanks guys. was just curious as another guy i race against has almost 0 deg at the back and maybe +0.5 towout at the front. the look of the cars is so staggering when placed next to each other.

but i'm happy with the cars steering and it was running awesome at the race meet yesterday. if i can't gain anything huge from squaring it up a fraction, then i'll leave it as is.

If it handles good for your style, then leave it alone..you will gain more speed that way, other that trying to "fine tune" which may just cause you more headaches....just my .02
