Starter Box Question

Starter Box Question
I recently purchased an OFNA chrome top starter box from my local hobbytown. I've used the thing 4 times total.
Here's the link to it that I found: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5429
My question is however, I use the starter box for a minute or so and the motor becomes very hot and loses it's torque. It will spin the motor but it won't spin the flywheel. My question is do you think that I have a bad motor in it? My plan is to take it back today, but I wanted to check to see if it is normal to run for only a minute or so before the engine becomes very hot and loses torque?

My guess is your hitting the chassis more than the flywheel. Make sure there isn't rubber near the slot for the flywheel. I beveled the opening on both my Losi's for extra clearance. It needs to be aligned correctly and also make sure the motor starts early enough so it isn't rubbing the chassis by the time it starts spinning.
