what about electronics and motor pipe combo ? 400 on a kit is Nothing compared to a Proper radio/servo set-up.....especially when it comes down to race gear. ? also none of the trucks you listed would be anywhere near my top 3 pick for Pro level race 1/8.

Any how....I would go with the one that your lhs supplies parts for and fellow racers are racing......I would wait to purchase a GS because they just released the AD+ version of the buggy which is a updated version from the one you have..They will probably be making a new updated truggy as well.....I have heard good things anoutthe Cen and have seen first hand what the Hyper is capable of but it needs upgrades....

"What you like" directly falls into the category of "Opinion".

I agree with Integra. None of those listed are considered "Race Worthy". Can they be MADE Race Worthy? Sure... for the price of the new AE truggy.

Why not get the good stuff now? You end up saving money in the long run.

Smart People buy the good stuff first.

Ignorant people buy the cheap stuff twice.

WTF indeed.

Derek, Of the 4 listed hands down go with the Hobao. I've seen a few good drivers run them and do very, very well. AND at 349.00 for the ST Pro I don't think you will go wrong. NitroHouse is just a few days shipment away for parts too. I wouldn't even consider the others as an option when you can get the Hobao for that price.

Go for the Hobao/OFNA. I have the XUT, and driven the ST before. I would say the ST does turn quicker. Differences are;

1.`ST has a narrower chassis compared to the GS (which is the widest I've ever come across)
2. ST accepts only flat packs. GS accepts both hump and flat.
3. More steering travel on the ST.
4. XUT doesn't come with brake rotor 'guides' (screwed onto the chassis). ST does
5. XUT uses a gigantic 58T spur, which leads to dramatic weight bias because the engine and pipe is further from the chassis' centerline. This can be experienced on very loose terrain.
6. XUT uses rare 15x24x5 for the hubs (inner side).

I'd go for the ST...

so the gs is not as good as the hobao, werd design. The hobao seems to be a great racer at a great price. The only thing bad i heard is it heavy and the brakes suck. But it can turn great and lay down fast laps. Anything that u dont like about the truck and will we see a new on anytime soon? Why not the caster? And is this a way better truggy then my rtr st-1, big difference on the track?
I heard there is a guy that can hook you up on nitro house, is that true?
Here what will be in the kit
-Sportwerks v2 .26 engine
-Dynamite 053 midrange pipe
-Ace ds 1313 for steering
-Blue bird servo for throttle

i wouldnt go with any of those for racing. it comes down to you get what you pay for.
if i was gonna buy a truggy right now it would be hands down the RC8T i think or a Kyosho truggy but mugen and losi also make decent truggys and ive only heard never actually drove a Xray XT8 (i think it is) but i hear its a good truggy.

i like xray stuff to very durable as i have a XB8ec

Out of the list you have the CEN or Gs racing buggy seem the best

I haven't heard much about the Gs truggy or buggy but if you already have the buggy you should stay with the same manufacture, seems logical

I have heard the Cen Truggy is fast but heavy but I've heard that tuned and setup right it blows past the competition

But I'm a Losi person so I can't so I don't know much about other Truggys,
