I am certain they said V3 rear wheels were allowed. I believe the original post said IFMAR rules would apply.

I hope I am not causing a problem by saying this but there was no technical inspections of the cars in the past 2 years. Basically if your running the type of equipment your chassis was designed for you will be well within the rules and not have to worry about any kind of technical inspection.

Imprtcrx any out the box 1/8th scale buggy will do. Do you have one now? I do recommend a DSM 2.4ghz radio to avoid frequency conflicts since there will be so many people.

Really?

From Neobuggy:
Update: We have checked the new rules which haven't been published and are supposed to come into effect 2009, the max wheel (tyre+rim) width is 47mm - across the board (IFMAR, ROAR, EFRA, FECMA, FAMAR) We understand the new wider tyres are over that limit.

The weeks leading up to the Worlds in September saw the arrival of much-hyped wide tyres from various tyre companies. Having witnessed larger diameter rims become popular, it appears the current 'hot' area for development - compounds, foams, rims, treads etc. However what place do the wider tyres have in 1/8 buggy? They may offer some advantages in stability but are not ROAR (America), EFRA (Europe) or IFMAR(World) legal, improved performance characteristics are usually associated with racing... But are there some hidden motives? Suggestions have been floating around that companies may use the 'outlaw' or 'illegal' tag to market the wider tyres to 1/8 buggy newcomers - What you can't have, you want. And/or they are 'banned' because they are too good... Lets see!

V3 Tires are NO longer IFMAR legal.

Running them would therefor be Illegal since we are following IFMAR/ROAR Rules.

Who wants to buy extra tires anyway??? Aren't we in a recession? Save your money fools!

Mass saving of money in a recession actually furthers the problem... consumers need to spend to help end the recession. So please go spend... but not over spend like me!

I'm not sure but I think it will be 10 or 15 minutes for all main lower then the C main. That I think is 20, B 30 and the A mains 45. Qualifying I think is 7 minutes. Don't quote me on that.
