I was told it was FREEZING cold last year has something changed?

I apologize. I went back and looked at the entry form and you are correct the admission seems to be included with your race fee. I guess the additional admission is for family members?

Wasnt freezing cold UNLESS you pitted by the big door. It only got cold when they opend the roof vents to let the fumes out. Happened maybe once every hour or so. We had the sides on our EZ up[ and had a little heater and it was nice. Dont let folks scare you away, I've moved to Illinois but will be making the trek out. Its worth it and I heard a few factory teams will be there. I've read that OD and Horizon/Losi are sending some folks.... Sucks its the same weekend as the Nitro Challenge though....

Thanks for your input. I am still trying to make up my mind. I just want to have a good time not battle the elements if you know what I mean.

last year the track/pit are was unheated except for a few big torpedo heaters.

this year they have a seperate pit area tht is heated well.

last year i had a trailer that was heated and my friend had a eazyup with sides and a small heater and i bet it was 60 or so in there.

it was not at all freezing. and its only 65 for one class and this includes your pass to all the other events. its a great race i have been looking foward to it for months, this is porbably the biggest race i go and its gets bigger and bigger every year.

Fred, please try to make it, I know you'll have fun. The new additional pit area that is heated is right around the corner from the big track. The small track will be right near the heated pit area as well as the rock crawling track. Your entry is you admission to the entire show, not just r/c racing. You can check out all the other stuff going on at any given time. For the most part, you'll be able to stay warm. The ventilation or air exchange system in the building is designed to transfer air, it's not a heat exchanger. With that said, the heat will be off and on throughout the days of operation. They (farmshow complex) won't run the heat and ventilation at the same time and even if they did, it would get sucked right out of the building. However, the heated pit area will be constant heat as no fumes will be in the area. Trust me, you'll have fun and be able to stay warm. I hope you'll re-consider as I know you'll enjoy all the activities going on. You'll kick yourself if you miss it. Quite a few factory teams are on the line up. I hear the X 1/8 scale offroad world champion will be there! The manager for team Mugen will be there. Traxxas is a big sponsor and will have their team there for obvious reasons. It will be a great event to attend.

Get your entries in soon or you'll be left in the cold. no pun intended Fred....

For those wanting to know the layout of the complex. Here's a link to a map.

That's a pretty good map of the place. The big track will be in building #7 and the smaller electric track and heated pits will be in building #9. Good times are coming.
