I'll try, a pic from last year. Here, the cars are coming towards me as I take the pic. There was no good way I could align myself more on the side so cars would drive by, in front of me. There were multiple infield sections in this area which prevented me from putting myself in a better position. In the first year, the washboard section was located on the very outside of the track. If I'd had a worthwhile camera then, I could simply kneel on the outside edge without fear of blocking driver's view as there was no track behind me. I'm not sure how else to explain. And unfortunately, PhotoBucket is being a major PITA for some weird reason and I can't get other pics uploaded right now.
All in all, as you said, you have your design which I'm confident will be fun and challenging for drivers. I am sure I can find good spots to "hide" to get some nice pics too. And I have some new glass which should help me out in that area too

Fred, I think you missed my point. If your fast enough to hang with Mark, then it's obvious what class you should be in. I was using the 2 laps as a example. If you 5 laps slower, that doesn't mean you CAN'T run expert. Now if your fast enough to be within say somewhere around a lap or so from the Pro drivers, then you should be in expert. As far as how they decide, I can't tell you because I really don't know. I can say this, if someone is lapping everyone in intermediate class by a lap or two after the first round, Binky may choose to move them to expert. Bottom line, if you feel your in the wrong class, e-mail Tony and he'll get you in the right class.

Just so you know, I'm all for having them together but with over 400 entries, it needs to be separated.

I understand your point. I feel I am an intermediate driver not a pro or expert but, I am in the same boat as Kevin, I just don't want someone say I am sandbagging. I will stay in intermediate and let Luthor make the call during practice. I really don't care either way I just don't want to see complaints. I want to have FUN!

I believe it was originally posted you could run intermediate as long as you didnt have a sponsor because the winner will be offered a 1 yr sponsorship.

I dont think they are going to move anybody around once the heats are set and Ive heard rumor they plan on having the heats posted Friday so they can start the program first thing Saturday morning. They did reshuffle the heats last year after the 2nd round but moving people from one class to another just doesnt seem to make any sense once qualifying has started.

Default We are trying to make the intermediate Class as competitive as possible

First let me say that any racer can run in the expert class if they so choose. If you don't have a major sponsor you can run in intermediate.
If I have you in the wrong class shoot me an email and I will switch you over.

Default Who should run intermediate

If I have moved you over to intermediate and you do not want to be there I will switch you back. I expect the intermediate A mains to be just as fun to watch as the Expert A Main. PS all the guys that I have been moved I think should do very well in the intermediate class.

As noted earlier, I am likely going to stay in Pro Trug...but just for gits n shiggles...
I do have an engine discount deal. It's not much, but I will be paying less than "Bill Johnson" would if he purchased the same line from AMain or his LHS. Would that absolutely relegate me to Pro no matter what? I believe it would if this were per RCPro rules, but I am curious. Thx and sorry if I am being a PITA

This is Rob right? The guy that was helping me? If so, you can run intermediate.
