Default List

Hello, I am a little confused about how the break down of expert and intermediate class was done? How is it determined weather your a expert or not. I see names on the expert list that are by far NON expert caliber racers. Just wondering how the break down was done. I am not racing, but I will be there to watch the races Sunday.....PS I am not trying to start any problems, but just trying to get a answer since I was asked by someone that is actually racing intermediate instead of the expert

You have to request to be in intermediate. You can email Tony West at tonywestgsk@hotmail.com.

If he's that fast then e-mail Tony and have his name put in expert. The top ten guys in intermediate should be 2 laps slower or more then the top ten guys in expert. If your within those 2 laps, you should be in expert. Who wants to sandbag the intermediate class anyway?

Anyone that wants to vie for that sponsorship :P

I'm not 100% sure I'm even gonna race, but I think if I do, I'll probably stay in Pro. Unless Int. blows up. Right now, there only appears to be about 20 or so in Trug.

I say run Expert and see what your up against. Why run a class that is limited? If it was up to me, I'd run everyone together in the same class. Are the intermediate guys afraid to run with the fast guys? They're human too.
Me, I'll be making a fool of myself in Expert buggy.

Thanks for the info Greg,

I think I need to talk to Tony about putting me in the expert class. I have alot to learn about 1/8th scale and how to tune the cars but my driving skills put me in the ( I think) G main last year. I am not the worst driver nor am I fastest.... just need more practice.

I would not want people to think of me as somebody that sandbags the intermediate class.

Fred, they have a few weeks to get the classes and guys put IN the right class. Send a e-mail to Tony at the address posted prior. That's all it takes.

I personally hate separating the class like they are doing but it's something that HAS to be done with the number of entries they've gotten, plus Pro drivers being in attendance. There is too many guys that complain that they don't stand a chance of winning when the caliber of racers reach Pro level. Then there's the Pro's that complain that they're in a heat of hacks. It's a hard call to make and it was made just a month late and wasn't on the entry form. Looking ahead to next years event, I'm sure the separation will be clear on the entry. Thanks for signing up. See ya at the event.

The first year would have worked out very well. It was on the very outside of the track and the cars were driving by, rather than towards. If you choose to have the washboard again, I hope you can keep this in mind
Can you be a little more specific? I have layout complete and most of the jumps and obstacles but would entertain any suggestions.

Then I ask what do you qualify as intermediate? 2 laps slower than Mark Pevidis? (sorry Mark i know i spelled it wrong) Well than half the field should be Intermediate.

So not to be an ass but PLEASE post a CLEAR Specification to Intermediate or just make it all one class.
