Default Byrons Gen 2 fuel

Anyone having any problems ? A lot of guys i race with at a few different tracks been having problems with the Gen 2 fuels . Engines prematurely blowing rods and some only lasting 2-3 gallons and some just not happy the way this stuff tunes . All these guys had no problems at all with the first Gen fuels . I need fuel and not sure what to do . I`m also getting two new engines and want them to last . Anyone try Tilted fuel or Nitrotane ? I used to run O`Donnell which ran great , just killed you with the vapors from it which were more potent then Byron .

how long have you been running it ? How many gallons ? It seems everyone thought it was good at first and now after running it for a while they are having problems . Not sure why they went to Gen 2 , the first gen was great .

I have 5 gallons on a GRP .21 with no problems. i have another GRP .21 in my truggy, and it has 3 gallons with no problems. Still getting 9 minutes of run time per tank, with a temp of 170 after a 25 minute main.

Edit to add.

I am running gen 2, 30% pro race blend

Been through 4.5 gallons of Gen2 Byrons, no issues so far. Tunes very similar to the Gen 1 but with less smoke.

I really have to wonder if all this talk about Gen II being bad is some sort of scam put out by a competing brand. Every few weeks someone comes on here asking if there is a problem with the fuel and everyone says NO. Who are these people having problems? I have been running it all season with no issues. The whole Mugen team was using it at the onroad nats with no issues. No one I know has had any issues. So where are all these rumors coming from? My guess is some dude got a gallon, ran it in a three year old motor on its last legs and it blew up. Now everyone has heard the story.

I have had more trouble getting my motor to hold a tune with it. I am running a new OS Speed and have had tuning issues every since I started running the Gen 2. I am switching fuels.

No .They are not rumors . Many had problems switching over on existing engines they bought recently that were broke in with Gen 1 and new engines starting with Gen 2 . I race at three tracks and only a few didn`t have problems but the majority have .

I had more problems with OS motors holding a tune, regardless of what fuel i was using. Bearings go out fast, and the case crack even faster. Those will both affect its tune holding ability.

Default GEN II Fuel

I have a GO 25 6 port that has 3.5 gallons of Gen II thru with no problems at all. Motor was broke in and run with only GEN II. I have several NovaRossi 12's that I switched over to Gen II with no issues at all, just a bit of change in the tune from the previous version of Byrons. I would not use anything else.
