Default pipe for a jx-21

im getting my jx-21 in about 2 weeks and was wondering whats a good pipe for it. i was looking at the ninja one but its pretty expensive. 109.99 for the pipe and 51.99 for the manifold. or can i just get away with just the pipe since i already have a c-type manifold thats polished?

thanks

I have the same engine and went with a JP-2 pipe from jammin, so far Im really impressed. I have heard the JP-4 pipe is another all around pipe. The hard coated pipe looks really good, and is made really well.

I couldn't tell you which is better, or if Jammin is the best. I just went with both of the Jammin Products just to make it simple. Plus Ive seen pipes that are hella expensive, and with the Jammin Pipe being very reasonable dollar wise, I figured it would be a good match.

I run an OS 2060. The mugen pipe is way to expensive. I can't see the benefit for all that extra $$. The 2060 seems to work well all throught the power band.

I have a JX21 in my RC8T w/2060 pipe & 6.5mm restrictor. If I take it easy on the throttle I can get just shy of 14 minutes. If I push the throttle a little more, which I usually do, I get 11 minutes. That's even a very new engine that hasn't been fully broken in. The pinch was still there during those runs.

the jx 2042 pipe is a os 2060
i ran jammin pipes but they seem to have more back pressure than os and higher temp, less run time, less rpms.
if your looking to get the most out of the jx put a os pipe on, jx 2042 or the os 2060 with the short header.

Ninja 2042 with the L header or a 2060 with the L header..

2042 is actually a 2060 with a ninja stamp.

The Ninja pipe is an 053 design. The sportwerks 053 will run just about the same, so I'd start with that one first before buying a new pipe...

well the os 2060 pipe is 160$ so for that price i might as just get the ninja pipe. im going to talk to my buddy who is sponsored by nova and see if he has any good pipes laying around that i could try out and see what i like best.

and im liking the run times im seeing on here. the jx21 is going to be going in a mbx5r and i weighed it yesterday with out fuel and with the rb s7 motor it weighted 8 pounds.
