Default Quick lipo and reciver question

Can u run a lipo receiver pack with out a regulator. The reason I ask Hitec has some new servos out that uses 7.2 volts. If u use a regulator it drops the voltage to 6Vs.

its not the servo's u really have to be worried about...its the RX....then the servo's.....some have done this using Spectrum gear...as the Rx is already rated for it.....and almost any servo will take 8v+....it just depends on which brand and how long before the motor's burn up...as the added heat and stress from That much more power tends to make them fail sooner then later.

u can ether run no regulator ad risk it overheating and causing a run away then having to replace your servos and probably your reciver or run a 30$ regulator and none of it happens.

personally id spend the 30 bucks and not have to replace atleast 100 dollars in equpiment
