Tire of choice for buggy was:

panther K1 or K2 soft
proline Bowtie m2 and m3

Truggy:

Panther Gator soft
Proline Holeshots

some other guys can chime in as well and give you their recomendations. I spoke with some panther and proline team guys and that is what they ran.

Dirt this year will be--hard packed. we will be going a little deeper into the surface to get down to the hard stuff. should be a nice and consistent surface this year.

Owen RaCing-- We would love to have you attend. Hope you can make it!

believe it or not I ran Losi step pins silver, and turned 59 sec. laps in the main. which for the main was really fast only a few guys turned sub 60.

However, Dave will have the track in much better condition this year. First year, didn't know about the dirt now he knows. He is trying to make it blue groove up and be consistent all weekend. Should be a holeshot or revolver track this year.

aka will run city blocks prolly
panter will run reptile
losi will run eclipses

jusy my thoughts

Yeah that's what bites, you can buy 4 different sets to be ready for this race and mostly one set will work which leaves you with3 new sets and broke.

Please dont feel like you have to buy tires before the race. I know there will be several hobby shops there including Dalton RC Raceway, Mod Hobby and Carolinas RC. I am sure they all will be having killer deals and they know their will be 350 racers like last year so they should be fully stocked up!

what time did the event finish up last year, is there a projected time that it may finish up this year, looking at a 9 hour drive and a nephew who cant miss to much school going to races, but this is one we would like to make.

Another update:

We would like to Thank Murnan Mods and Cold Fusion Fuel for being the most recent supporters of the PNB. Murnan mods has donated a .21 Modified engine and Cold Fusion will be giving us Fuel. Both items will be part of the sportsman awards. This year the top 5 in both sportsman classes will be getting some serious equipment.

I also have spoken with Kendall Bennett at Amain Hobbies. He is
sending us a ton of product to be given away for the sportsman winners
and raffle items. Thanks Kendall and Amain Hobbies for all you do.

I would be careful about posting all the goodies in sportman, makes some sandbaggers eyes light up

I would assume that anyone with "Any" form of sponsorship will have to run Pro???

You guys do a great job, so I'm sure you have the rules covered. Is there anywhere we can read the rules so we are all on the same page.

This is not from the mouth of Dave or Ollie, but this is what would not be considered a sportsman driver.

Any form of chassic, fuel, or motor sponsorship. If you as a company are willing to sponsor someone, why would you want them to run sportsman. If you are good enough for a sponsor then you are good enough to run pro class.

Now if a hobby shop or a local dealer helps you out with prices, good job. I don't consider you a pro, just a good guy and friend probably and everyone needs a break in prices sometimes.

Again, this is my opinion. Dave and Ollie HATE sandbaggers and trust me they will not allow it.
