EXACTLY YOU RACE TO THE A.BUT TO DO THAT YOU HALF TO HAVE A LOT OF ENTRIES
#32
well it all depends on the number you put in each race.. but tons of entries would help

We greatly appreciate the suggestions. Everything will be considered, however, I do believe that there is a good chance we will with stay with the standard pro and sportsman class.
Once again, anyone that is running times in sportsman that would rank in the top 20-25 in pro will be closely looked at and bumped up. This seems to be the most logical and fair way to regulate "sandbagging."
Worlds format is definitely interesting and would be great, however, I am afraid that we would run into time restraints.

I agree about the World's format. It seemed to work very well, even though it was a bit confusing at first.
To answer Puddin, I like it. It is very forward thinking and this is the type of thinking the sports needs to grow. Question though, is how do you schedule heats around that format?

this is what we are looking for. some good suggestions we will most certianly have controlled practice and we will figure out a way to weed out all sandbaggers so if you are a very fast driver and a heavily sponsored driver do everybody a favor and move up to pro. we do not want the problems that some drivers created at S.I.C. we want everybody to enjoy to race and give good feedback so that it will grow more every year

This is how we where going to do it.
you sign up for the class you want to be in. Run everybody together and after the quals are done any sportsman thats in the top 30 (c main with 12 car mains) you bump to pro and then seperate them for the mains. 6 car bumps in the mains after all the A mains are set you run
Dash
pro
sportsman
slash MAIN
pro truggy
sportsman truggy
BREAK
THEN THE MAINS

also with puddin's idea, that is great and all, but what happens if you have an excellent driver, but has very bad qualifiers, i.e. flame out, broken stuff, faulty stuff.
Then all of a sudden he is a top 5 pro but is racing b-c main in sportsman, he then bumps to B, essentially gets to the A, and wins. once again another controversy. If they has 1 full sponsor they should be pro, 3+ partial sponsors they should be pro. If you are good enough to get sponsors you are to good to run sportsman in my eyes.
