There is an article in Extreme RC mag about Lipos in general are not recommended until the radio gear lines up without a regulator. I read the article, didnt think too much of it and guess what???? with about 26 min into a 30 min main. Wholla!! Heats up and shuts down. I bought a NIMH on sunday. Article makes sense. I know some of you have not had a problem, but it is a matter of time. It will happen. I was the same way. Kickin myself in the A$$ right now. lol

Toiffel, I have not read all the posts here but have you tried running your 75 mhz equipment again to see if the problem still occurs. I had fasst and ran into the same problem, as soon as I saw that there were a lot of people out there having the same problem and futaba denied any type of issue I 86'd the fasst. I went back to 75 mhz and the problems ceased.Well my deal is I like the radio so I will probably end up buying a spektrum pro kit. Good luck.

To repeat what someone else said, it's a known issue with the FASST system kicking into failsafe. Futaba damn sure knows about it, I can think of several guys here off the top of my head who sent their's back for the same reason. If yours is a year old, they had problems much quicker than you did. Send that sucker back.

A friend of mine (my pit guy) has the same problem with the Fasst receiver.. overheats goes into failsafe, and resets. The isssue is the receiver for sure. And like others have said it seems Futaba doesn't want to do anything about it. He's called Futaba and it seems they just want to give him the run arround. He bought 3PK brand new with a the Fasst System installed in May... so he's been borrowing a 75hz system from a local pro until he can get something figured out with Futaba....but Futaba doesn't seem to have any product support.,......... So he's now considering buying a Specktrum HRS system for it. Too bad Futaba is selling lemons and doesn't want to make it right!

All I can say is ....Glad i have a Spektrum DX3R!

Just as many or more are having no issues, including HARA.....

10 of my local racers, including me, use futaba 2.4 in nitro with no issues, including a 3hr enduro

one racer had the heating issues sent it back and new recv is fine.

I am not saying nothing is wrong, just that it isn't 100% or even 50

I believe that the only thing that has been stated here is that there is problem, and Futaba doesn't seem to want to acknowledge that......

I'm glad they didn't give him the "wow, sorry to hear that, it's the first time anyone has called us with anything similar.....".......line...... or the "overheating issue???, sorry don't know what you are talking about, you are the first person to mention it".......
