Default Lipo regulator ?rx in 8B

I have installed the lipo regulator with switch and the only place I an find to put it where it is cover is in the box with the Rx.
My question is : will this cause interferance with the Rx?

Thanks
Brian

That's where I have mine and I have not had any trouble with it being in there.

every where ive read says to mount your regulator on the outside of your reciver box because they get very hot and will overheat and overheat stuff around them and cause problems

i have the orion regulator with the heatsink as well, i can barely get it to fit in with my battery on my x1 buggy, its a tight fit. i am also running a spectrum receiver- so should i try to mount it outside of my batt box? if so how are you guys mounting them?

I have the losi regulator in the receiver box with a spektrum receiver. It shut off several times due to overheating (once I removed the receiver box cover and let it cool it would work perfectly). Instead of putting the regulator outside, I put some foam between the regulator and the receiver which seemed to dissipate some of the heat and actually provide added cushion for the receiver. Not sure this is foolproof but didn't like having the regulator outside regardless of how it's attached as I've seen two be ripped off during bad crashes.

Yeah, I don't want mine on the outside either. I would hate to get nitro on it. It will most likely overheat if I put in a balloon. Any ideas anyone?

Default outside mounting

I've got the Protek regulator from Amain and it has a heat shrink cover to protect it from dirt. On both buggy and truggy it's mounted outside the rx box using zip ties. On truggy I removed the on/off switch and zip tied it there. On buggy i dremeled two holes in the rear of the rx box to allow a zip tie to pass in and back out and mounted it there. On the buggy pic, look up past the engine cooling head to the right and you can see it on the rear of the rx box.

I agree running the Reg on the outside is just ridiculous, I would rather run a NiMH, I live in a hot and humid area and have run mine inside with zero problems... Losi 5amp unit...
