nova 3 port (bf2000 I think it is) and a 86, or jp2 pipe or another top end pipe...for 180 bones, they are tough to beat and are pretty strong...or, dare I say this, pick up a GO 3 port or 5 port..the 5 ports do rip (quite a bit stronger then the Nova 3 port), but from what I have seen, sometimes the carbs can be finicky (a lot of people either seal them or replace the carb with an os or nova carb)

Thanks alot guys for the help and the suggestions, seems like I have a decision to make, I do like the fact that the OS vg gives suggestions on what pipe to use with that engine(JP-2),,, motor and a pipe for around 230.00,, not bad for a budget racer, anymore suggestions or ideas feel free time chime in, I'm sure I'm not the only person needing this info!!! THANKS

You guys that are making these suggestion, is this what your running??? And how much life are you getting? How you keeping up with the competition? This is a great subject and I would like to keep it going, as expensive as things are today(not just in the RC world) I think this is a great thread,

Ive run the werks b3 pro right now and it has no problem keepin up on the track I run. Ive also ran the monarossi nb21 2001bf as mention above and its a great motor to for the money. I would stay clear of the os vg. Both werks and rossi Ive gotten great life time out of them

No, that is not what I am running (Novas, GRP, and Vspec for me), but I have run the Nova 3 port before, and it does very well on all but the biggest tracks. The Nova is quite a bit better then the OS VG imo (longer lasting, more power). On a short track, it should have all the power you need

There should be no other choice. If you want, a top notch engine, that you are not settling for because of money, and it will perform just like the $300-$500 engines out there, and make people ask you "Damn!? What engine you got in that thing?!?!

Jammin JPX .21, with the dynamite 053 Pipe. About $275 for the combo

Never question yourself again

DO NOT get the OS VG! It is about the worst you can get for that money. Don't ask me how I know. Seriously though it was the biggest mistake I've made. Don't beleive me just research it for a few minutes and see how it does not make much power for the money and you will not make it past the 3 gallon mark most likely. Hate to see you waste your money like I did. There are literaly dozens of better choices for the same or less money. Wish I would have known. It turns out that people have been badmouthing that engine since it came out and I missed it. Thought OS would be great but not this particular model.

a little over budget, but well worth the extra expense....these motors are ballistic, durable and easy to tune...
