Default Changing wheel on Ofna's crome top starter box?

Ok this makes me feel like such a noob, but I need to change out the starter wheel on my Crome top starter box from ofna, the wheel is the bell shaped one that comes taped to the bell type metal piece. I cant seem to figure out how the old bell comes off? I removed the screw, But its still stuck on there so tight I cant budge it! Anyone have a clue????

Put the nut on hand tight , hold the wheel and tap on the nut a few times . Should pop right off .

Do you mean the bell is stuck to the shaft and just needs to be loosened up a bit? I really dont want to chance bending the shaft. I'll give your idea a shot

I tried that! i 'll be damned if this wheel is not like welded on, I am at the point where I need to dremel the metal bell a bit on both sides of the shaft to loosen it up a tad. This freakin thing is stuck like a weld! I was wacking it with the hammer, from every possible direction and its not budging! I even measured the damn shaft with my calipers to see if the bell is moving forward at all! Nothing! It's dremel time!

LOL , you will not bend the shaft . Not like your hammering away with a sledge hammer .

not to change the subject, but does anyone have a wiring diagram of the same starter box, I even changed the switch in mine and the damn thing never turns on. But I know the motor and battery work as I hooked it up direct.

I just built one... I remember the diagram was... odd. Here's the bottom line:

You need a wire from the battery to the "lid switch" and that wire should also connect to the red charge jack. That wire is a long red wire and has 3 connectors- the "half ring" goes to the "lid switch," the long end goes to the battery, and the short end goes to the red charge jack.

You need a wire from the other post of the lid switch to the on-off switch. That one is just a short red wire. One end is a "half ring" (to the lid switch)

The red wire on the motor goes to the other side of the on-off switch.

The black wires connect the motor, the battery, and the black charge terminal.

Hope that helps. The diagram kinda sucks that comes with it.

thanks, I'll try it and see what happens. I've had the thing for years but I know the instructions are gone, and I can't find any online anywhere. they have other starter box diagrams, but no wiring
