Help selecting tires for race
I race a truggy (MBX5T) and want suggestions on tires for my next race.
The track we race is med/hard packed very dry & dusty. Mains are 30 min and quals. are 10 min. What tires & compounds do you suggest? Has anyone tried Bowfighters on a truggy in similar conditions? Thanks |
i would go with Panther 38 Gators in MS compound. They seem to work great everywhere...

What about in Proline?
I usually run Panther 38's but they're worn out and nobody has them locally. |

i cant rememer the last time i ran proline on my truggy. Not saying they are not good, but the Gators just work for me anywhere outdoors.
I would try a crimefighter or if its not to dusty a holeshot if you can only get proline. |

I see a lot of racers running HoleShots for qualifying and CrimeFighters for the longer mains around here. It sounds like your track is a similar surface to what we run on. CrimeFighters will get you more steering because they have higher side-bite but Bowties might work as well and be slightly more consistent. M2 would be the compound to get if you can. I would say run Holeshots all the time, but they just don't last.
