Kropy- Thanks!

DirtyDezPirate- With the engine being so new it will run a little hotter. 210 is fine, as the engine breaks-in more the temp will drop. You want to stick with the std. GRP turbo plugs. The PLUS plugs are for running in wet conditions. Is the engine running good now?
I wouldnt know until saturday for round 4 summer sizzilin at ARC track. So, hopefully its going to be good. JBRL at the B main it ran better than what it did in the heat.

Adam, what's the difference in running the long vs. short ackerman? Which one gives better off power steering?

Also, do you run preload in your shocks?

Thank you for your time.

HI Adam

In your 8T do you run a .21 or .28? I just installed A GRP .28 in my 8T and just finished breaking it in. What kinds of temps do you like to see on the .28.

Thanks

Any problems with the fuel tanks ? Because that elbo coming out looks like it might get broke by hitting the pipe mount.

njballa- It's best to let the engine cool between tanks, but I've done it both way without problems.

donut92673- No problem. I will be out of town for the Horizon Shootout and iHobby, but I will look at the engine as soon as I get back.

pitpop- I'm off to IL. for the Horizon Shootout tomorrow and then iHobby the following weekend.

RETRO RC- No problem. I will try to answer question as soon as possible, but I don't usually have my computer with me at the races.

ruggydriver- When I'm in town I go to Revelation every Thursday for practice. It really depends on my schedule, but I run at Rev. a lot. If you or anyone has a GRP engine I would be happy to take a look at it.

DirtyDezPirate- I'm sure the engine will be fine. Let me know if you have any questions.

MadRussian- I was really happy to win the MT class at the ROAR Nationals. I haven't tried the muggy parts on the LST2 because I haven't had the time to convert everything over.

desertbird- The long ackerman will have smoother off-power steering, but more steering in the middle and exit of the turn. Yes, I run rebound in my shock on both the 8ight and 8ight T.

SHIZZILANILLA- I run the new elbow, but you don't have to. We made it because it was needed for some of the races in Europe.

I agree with the GRP engine temps as Adam explained. The temps at first were 200 to 215 degrees, then after the 1st full gallon, the temps dropped to 175 to 180 degrees. Runs like a champ. 10+ minutes per tankfull of runtime also.

the orange head motor is Rossi tuned, and has a turbo plug button. The chrome head is not tuned, and uses stanadard plugs.

I run .21 in both my buggy and truggy getting around 10 minutes of run time per tank, with temps in the 190's. love seeing other peoples heads turn when i come in after a 20 minute main, and my pit guys says 189, and you hear other cars coming in at 250.
