Some shops have a pretty low special price through coupons or monthly specials, if you paid a low price like $564 because you had a store coupon then I bet you don't get the wheels, if you walked in a store and paid $650 you probably get them.

Adam do you guys ever use set up stations? If not how is it that you guys set your toe, I saw your videos on camber and ride height just not on toe. Thanks

The current 'trend' with the new truggies it to have numericaly higher Final Drive Ratios (FDRs). The X1CRT had an FDR of 15.78/1. Other 'older generation' truggies are similar. The MBX5T was one of the first to go over 16/1 with an FDR of 16.28/1, as was the Kyosho STR (and later the STR-R) with a16.54/1 FDR. The V1 8igh-T was at 15.87/1. The RC8T has an FDR of 16.59/1 (using a larger 54T spur and a 14T bell for some reason). The X2CRT has a 16.61/1 FDR.
The 8ight-T V2.0 has an FDR of 16.54/1, which is the same as the K-Cars (using the same 13/50/4.3 bell/spur/diff combination). Losi's just following the trend. The 16.3-16.6/1 FDRs tend to work better with high revving .21s. For the few guys left running .28s, running the 48T spur for a 15.87/1 FDR (or the Robinson Racing 49T spur for an FDR of 16.20/1) on the 8ight-T would probably make more sense.
Just experiment if you're bored. Pick up an extra center diff or two offa fleabay and set it up with different spurs (47/48/49/50 are available specificaly for Losi, and 51/52/53/54 are available for HPI diffs). Try them with 13T, 14T, and 15T bells.

Your motor manufacturer should have a chart with recomended Final Drive Ratios. The 8T has a 4.3/1 ring/pinion ratio. Take the motor manufacturer's recomended FDR and divide it by 4.3. Multiply the number you get by the pinion tooth count you're gonna use. That will give you a number that should be close to the spur gear you need.
Alternatively, if you settle on a spur gear (lets use 50T, since the truck comes with it) then divide your target FDR by 4.3. Divide 50 (spur tooth count) by the number you just came up with to get the approximate pinion gear you'll need.

Integra- The problem could be the P3 plug is too hot. Try a GRP 5 or P4. OS plugs will work fine in a GRP, but a P3 is too hot.
l3asher- The parts will work on the 8ight T 2.0. Not sure about the wheel deal.
nccattu- I don't use a set-up station. I just roll the car or truck up to a wall and use a camber gauge on the wall to measure toe.
teeforb- Same internal ratio, but the 50 tooth spur is what most of us used on the old truck. Not sure about gearing for an electric 8ight T, but email me and I will findout for you. [email protected]

How easy to drive?

When you said "The 8ight 2.0 is much easier to drive, better on rough tracks and lighter."...could you tell us what's the new improvements that make the new version much easier to drive and how much lighter the 2.0 is?
