yep car crazy is right also depends on whether or not you're running a lipo rx that saves some weight 2

last time I had to send out a package at UPS I got them to weigh my 8ight.

7.4 lbs.

buggy was ready to ready to go minus fuel.

aluminum knuckles
aluminum chassis braces

DS1313 servos
2700Mah Ni-Hm battery
Werks B3
JP-2

Anyone know the weight of the 8ight 2.0 vs. the 8ight?

seriously though how good are the scales you are using and how clean is the car, any weight saving upgrades on it any mods to reduce weight, only way to compare is take the contents out the box less tyres/wheels (if you get any ) and weigh it there and then

Yep - the only true comparison is right out the box without radio, engine etc.
Once you start adding different servos it makes one hell of a difference. Some are double the weight of others.

We need a comparison of rolling chassis without wheels and tyres.

from an engineers point of view weight doesnt count for anything unless you have a 50/50 weight balance front/rear and left/right with all equipment fitted .A 50/50 will make a buggy fast and very responsive and well balanced.

This is the SH Engines Z-Car ZMXB-8/ out the box

I am not sure how it will stand next to other buggies specs but here is what I found...
Specifications:
Length: 507mm
Front track: 302mm
Rear track: 307mm
Wheelbase: 324mm
Height(overall): 225mm
Wheel Diameter: 114mm
Weight(overall): approx. 3,350g
