What do you guys suggest to protect my shinny new engine head?

zip ties is a pretty good way. Or you could take a piece of fuel line and zip ties it around the top of the head.

If you never crash your head will still look ratty after a while.Heat,cleaning & being sand blasted while driving will make your head less than shiny & new looking in short order & those commercialy available head protectors wont stop a broken fin if you slide over a rock when upside down & zipties dig into the dirt like an anchor when sliding.Try WD-40 after you clean your car that will make the head look shiny & new longer than anything else.

LOL just take a picture while its new...

If your running practice with truggy's, use zip ties to absorb chassis to head impact in the case that they land on you. But eventually it wont look new anymore..


These zip ties are on my on-road car, but the same idea works for offroad.
