Would that be Marvel Mystery Oil, Mobile One synthetic or a water based, glycerin free silicone safe lube?

Why are people so unkind in these forums, now, about the shims and turning it up a notch, does anyone know how many for 30%.

i have one a dadders modded sts .21B(black head) non-team while it was pretty fast it was plagued with probs(poor carb seals) carb leaking at 1 gallon mark which is barely break in,front bearing began to chip at 1.5 gallons, and i shelved it after that...tore it down and that's it i still have the case, and a couple of seals and what not but I don't think i'd ever purchase another..I mean there has to be a reason that racernine one of the biggest distributors of sts quit selling them and many others...because they are not worth the risk...sure $180 for a modded motor is great if it would last...they are by no means slow...but they are also by no means a world class engine..

ENGINE SHOULD ALREADY BE SHIMMED FOR 30%

I know mine was

Poeple will always bash what they dont like, or dont understand. Its sad but on this forum you should get used to it.

If you add 1 .1 MM shim you should be fine for 30% Nitro

There are exceptions to every rule, some of us try to be funny at other peoples expense, some of us try to be funny without realizing that other people might be offended in the process. I myself have sounded like a complete moron on many occassions and it was not how I intended it, but its all good cause I have boobs in my avatar, and boobs on my forum

Default NIB STS's

For those who like the engines, search my username for the for sale thread. For those who don't, please no comments.

detonation is easy to check

remove the head

remove the button

and have a look at the piston and the bottom of the button your looking for dents and marks, detonation basically occurs when the timing is wrong and it can be quite terminal for engines,

you stop it by adding a shim by the sounds of it though you shouldnt have to worry
