The hara interview last month in one of the mags he said. His goal in the future was to win an 1/8 world championship. WOW thats huge. The HB team layed it down. 4 in the show thats unheard of in 1/8 racing.

I just got back from the farm. What an awesome final. I was standing at the pit lane and looking right at the double double. Man, Hara floated everytime right over it with two hops. Even in the main, some people were rolling at least two and Hara just flew by them. A $380 buggy with an onroad driver takes it all. AMAZING!

Wow. Can't believe they won LOL..

Well good job to them.. With the D8 being the WC and all, and being as.. well.. NOT expensive as it is, I think the more expensive kits will have a it of a challenge selling. Just my thought, anyways.

He just said in his post race interview that it has a lightend chassis, diff parts, and longer rear shocks. Not stock but there wasn't a stock car there I'll guarantee....

stock buggy or not it says alot for hotbodies, they have a much smaller race team/program than others such as ae/ kyosho/losi and so forth. it also just goes to show that you dont have to spend 850.00 on a kit to win big races. hotbodies worked very hard to win this race they well deserve it. im pretty sertain you might see alot more d8 buggies at local tracks this winter and next spring.

Every Car runs option parts. The Chassis to me would be no big deal, those get replaced over time anyway. And I never ran the stock chassis on the Losi. I went straight to flex tuned. So I think thats no big deal. Longer rear shock Ends/ Rods limit your up travel. So that to me is not gonna happen. And they made it to be like that, and it looks cool with shorter rear shocks. Its on the same level as the front. Very Cool.

Congrats to the whole HB team.

Fours cars in the A at the world championships.

Last Sunday I was on the fence on buying one and said lets see what happens this week.

Well all I can say is mine will be here this week.

Great job to all !!!

You can say that it's the driver that makes the final but at least 2 of the 4 are not noted for having a ton of Offroad experience.

Especially the cat the won and the other is to young to have a ton of experience.

Congrats to HB. I was laughing so hard when I found out who won. Goes to show all those guys you do not have to have a high dollar kit to be competitive or win. I hope all these big guys have trouble selling there stuff now because of this and get off the crap of 7-800 dollar buggies! I bet you will see a ton of excuses pretty soon from them too as to why they did not win or they will try and blow it off and forget about it but we all know that if Mugen of Kyosho or X-ray would have won they would be talking WAY MORE crap then any of us would be just to justify the money they spent.

a couple cars had problems..... maifield flamed on his final pit stop and had to change a glow plug, and that left truhe to chase hara.

no excuses.... it was a three car race with about 15 minutes to go with hara, truhe and maifield swapping it back and forth. maifield flamed at about six to go. hara had a 12 second lead with about 3 minutes to go. i told my brother truhe had stepped it up and was coming. he took 2-4 seconds off on the next few laps, but couldn't catch him on the final lap. it was 1.4 seconds at the end. hats off to hara, he drove a hell of a race.
