anything is better then your current truck, get the rc8t if u feel its the one you want, i got the x2 because i was tired of the fuel tank issues i had with my rc8 buggy, the rc8t will probably handle great, you will just need to invest in some hop ups like the m2c hing pin holders and it wont have the slop issues that most experience with the stock set up

I'm having the same debate too, a little worried about the slop issues the buggy had, AE seems to have fixed the tank issue.I don't care for the way the chassis braces attach either,a friends strr braces pop off occasionally. A big plus for the rc8t. price, they can be had for 494 at amain, don't see the x2 at that price. A big draw back for me though, 0 offset wheels, all my wheels are 1/2 offset. From what I'm hearing, buggy hexes won't work to use 1/2. I don't think either is way ahead of the other, both are sweet, hard choice.

x2 does come with some extras over the rc8t, like a set of lpr rims and tires, and alot of cnc alum upgrades also, all the lightweight drivetrain stuff, u can get them on ebay for around 550 shipped also, so the price isnt really the issue, if you get the rc8t just make sure you get the m2c stuff and it will hold up well, if you dont the metal hinge pin holders will just bend and get play in them

the x2 is a new truck, just like a strr was a new version of the str, they are usually gonna be similar to the original truck but just be tweaked to make them handle better, if the old design worked why would you go dramatically different? you sound like you want a rc8t, dont think you will find it much cheaper then it is now, you should probably order one, just spend the extra 140 or so to get the m2c hinge pin holders so the car dosent get sloppy real fast, amain stocks those items also

yea ae is the best when it comes to publishing set ups and stuff, chad bradley does put alot of set up info on neo buggy on his forum, i had 10 tanks replaced on my rc8, i had to send all of them back and they tested them before sending new tanks, they were all bad, even 3 white ones, i had to run a xray fuel tank to get rid of the problem, the quality isnt very high on the associated products, i havent raced the jammin very long to know how long its gonna hold up for but it seems very well made,my last contact with associated's customer support was less then to be disired, they knew they had a problem with the new white tanks when they first came out, i heard this tank on the rc8t is the 3rd version and is supposed to be good, i just cant get myself to buy another one of there products again, it was the best handling buggy i have ever driven, just dosent hold up unless you invest in a few hop ups, check the knuckles on the x2 and the hinge pin holders all cnc aluminum, figure out what that stuff will cost for the rc8t, its actually cheaper to get the jammin when you factor the extras like the lpr rims and tires and hop up stuff
