I also have a chrome top OFNA box that I can't quite get the pegs right for my RC8. Can some one that uses this box post a picture of the layout. It would be a great help to me, and appearantly others would like to see as well.

Hit up an electronics place like radio shack for gel cells, $38 is way over priced i think. I can't remember what i paid in the U.S but it wasn't that. In the UK where things are generally more expensive i paid 12 pounds... about $24
Gel Cells are i believe motorcycle batteries, that could be an avenue worth exploring... there are a few sizes though.

Here is a picture of the pin setup on the chrome top:
One thing that I noticed with the chrome top is the location of the large electric motor and the pin that sits above it. The limited distance between the two can prevent the motor from engaging, so the best solution is to shorten the post, like this:
I hope this helps.

Would love to see pics of this! My losi box crapped out after the first attempt to break-in a new motor (which coincidentally was first time I used it). Have been using the truggy box ever since.

Anyone use this box? I've heard it works the best for the money,... just wondering what you guys think.
