Post t-maxx vs rc 10

so I'm planning a race with a co-worker of mine, he has an rc10 electric with a brushless motor, and I have a t-maxx with a 2.5R nitro. I have never actually seen his buggy in action and was wondering what you guys think the outcome could be? I got 20bucks riding on it and was wondering if I have a chance ( I think I do) but would like some info. plus he's trying to set it up on the street instead of the ally. are rc10's 2 wheel drive or 4 .....

It depends on what kind of brushless system your buddy has and where your planning on racing. If it was on a track, my money would be on the RC10.

even on a straight drag race, a brushless electric will most likely smoke your tmaxx

Brushless electric:
- weighs half as much as your tmaxx (power to weight ratio)
- electric hits top rpm much faster than nitro

your tmaxx
- weighs more
- ok it has a 2 speed, but by the time you hit second gear, the electric is gone.

again, it all depends on what he has in his electric, but my money is on the brushless RC10
