What is your OS Speed setup? looking to better mine.
I don't really have any problems with my setup. But I sometimes am looking for a bit more.
I have this setup in my losi 8ight buggy right now
Mike Truhe setup
OS speed with magneasiun head
8mm carb restrictor
os 2060 pipe
13t clutch bell
dynamite maxlife shoes
2 green springs 2 black springs
30% nitrotane
let me know what you guys think?
Thanks
Tony

Sounds good.
I personally run the mugen clutch, with carbon shoes and 1.0 springs. I prefer the "feel" of carbon shoes over aluminum. It's easer to control accelerating out of a turn. Like I said, it's a personall preferance.

try a 6mm or 7mm restrictor, it smooths the powerband out alot... I have a 2 gal old vspec that routinely smokes speeds all over the track cause theyre blowing the tires away.
My vspec setup:
13/46 gearing big tracks I'll run 14t bell
RC8 clutch
1.0/.9 springs depending on traction
stock alum shoes
6mm TKO restrictor
EPA limited about 20%
JP4 pipe
P3 plug
TQ 30% fuel
gets 11-12 mins runtime and fast as anything

good point on the carb restrictor I will try the 7mm
I may need to make my clutch a bit more snappy for coming out of the tighter corners if I use the smaller insert.
Right now I can just grab the throttle and it spins the car right around the tube with the 8mm insert.
If I swap out the black springs for gold that should make the clutch more snappy but with the green springs in the other 2 it should still be a little tame.
I will try it this weekend at the FTMS race at stateline RC
