thats what i am saying. these guys are so talented that they can win with what may not be the most expensive/high end kit. maybe not the worlds but they could spank 90% of us

Lets also keep in perspective the differences between us and them. They are pro drivers, who tinker with the set-ups for hours and know what to do to shave .5 seconds off the lap times. They can feel the difference between 40 wgt shock oil, and 40.5 wgt shock oil. They know that the center diff should have 6580 weight fluid, and they use droop gauges, and set-up stands, and they spend hours a week doing this stuff. Unlike most of use who enjoy it as a hobby.

Think Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, Joe Montana, Alex Rodriguez, these guys spend hours practicing, fine tuning, and learning all possible aspects of everything to try and be the best. If you, me, or anybody else want to commit that kind of hard work and dedication, I'm sure we can all have a shot at winning the worlds someday. Just my cents, but I think it makes perfect sense. They deserve to win, because they earn it.

Something else to think about with Hara is he knows how to conserve since he runs both 4 and 5 cell Mod TC. They can't go balls out the whole race with those or they will never make it to the end. If you watched at the end of the race Truhe was making up time on Hara, but just did not have enough of it left and Hara ran pretty flawless. So it comes to talent as well as knowing when to pull the trigger and when to conserve.

any car that stood up to the abuse that track dishes out is a good car.

it takes a driver who is "in the zone" basically all week long to even make the final. any of those guys could have won it.

congrats to hara for being the one.

Ok.... I'm seriously having issues with the trophy girls. Yeah the first pictures were bad, but this picture is just flat out ridiculas. What the hell? Is she 8 foot tall? It's not that I want something to look at, but this is how we represented our country??? Why didn't we fly the trophy girls from the Hot Rod Shootout to the Worlds? Or even go to the local bar and just randomly pick some.

Well, I guess that's what paper bags were truly invented for, j/k.

Might have just been a terrible angle for the pictures. The photographer could have had some kind of funky lens filter that somehow changed their looks. I'm sure they have great personalities.

I've been on that side of the nation and have seen some of the girls they have. Stump27 is right, they weren't the best they had to offer. Maybe they just worked cheap.

On another note, congrats to everyone who made the show. I'm also sure we'll see a flood of HB cars on the tracks this year.

Info from Neo Buggy:

As per IFMAR, the World Championships will be held by FEMCA (Asia) pending their acceptance. As of last week, FEMCA had received 3 applications to host the worlds:

1. China (near Hong Kong)
2. Thailand (Pattaya)
3. Australia (Queensland)

FEMCA will make the decision within 6 weeks and IFMAR will make the final decision at their AGM in Thailand later this year. Stay tuned to Neo Buggy for more news.

I could just see the car wrecks now.... All the drivers from the US won't be able to rent a car a drive on the wrong side of the road. Plus the water goes the other way around when you flush the toilet, I mean,,, thats just messed up..
