Default Cheap buggy, your thoughts?

Found this on AMain, I already have a 1/8th buggy but now my buddy wants to ditch his 4-tec 3.3 for a 1/8th buggy. what are your thoughts on this one?

IMO it really depends on what he plans on doing with his buggy, just bashing or racing. If bashing I would say go with it, I started with a similar one and it held up pretty nice but now that I only race I had to go a totally different way(no pull start bumb box stronger servos etc). But to each his own, and I would also check for the parts availability in your area for this type of buggy.

Na it wont just fall apart, I would give it a go and just tell him to be carefull of the curbs that will make it fall apart faster LOL.

As long as you put lock-tite on all metal to metal screw connections, it should hold together for bashing just fine.

Thats a name buggy, just their low end price wise. If A-Main sells it, you've got parts support too at least for some time to come. Def go over it and blue loctite the metal to metal screwed connections like ehartman advises. It takes some time, but may save you from looking for missing pieces or waiting on internet order replacement parts. With my new rcs, sometimes I've been surprised by what I've found loose.
