Changing Differential Oil.

How do you change your differential oil? Once you open your differentials do you take out the gears and clean them up and wipe out the differential? And how much oil to you put into the differential? Enough to just cover the gears or fill it up to the top?

Yup! you hit it, cover the gears. Let it sit for a couple of minutes so it will settle, then top off if needed.

I wash everything off using denat alcohol. Cover the spyder shafts. If I'm using something real thick, I'll give it a few minutes to settle too. Then top off back to just cover spyder gear shaft.

Denatured alcohol works, but I like to use naphtha for cleaning old diff oil out.
