You can run it on whatever you want, 12v gel cell, 2X 6 cell packs, or even lipos... But definately break in the motors and oil the comms.. If not the magic smoke may come out... Or I mean the magic smoke will come out!
The Losi motors are very fragile and need warmed up before each use and oil the comms monthly... I speak of knowledge... My losi bos sits on the floor, busted!

You're in for a great ride! Just double check everything and use fistfulls of logic. You'll have fun.

The Losi box is good, but make sure everything is nice and straight before you start crankin. The entire box can be adjusted, so take your time to get it right.

After some adjusting; all I have to do now (or my pit guy) is slap the car on the box and push it all the way back till it stops. Just touch the glow ignitor on the plug and push slightly. Pow - suckers started. It's a one hand operation.

Done right, you will never fight this box. It'll just keep up going.

Other than that, the Losi box needs nothing special to perform.
