Default Just in case, need nitro starting setup advice

Well, depending on how things go for the winter, I may find myself looking to pickup a nitro setup again if nothing gets going that would allow my RC8-E to run.

So, as last time I had bad luck with an OS .21 VG, I am looking for advice on the following:

- Budget engine .21, under $200
- Pipe for recommended engine
- Glow plugs
- Fuel brand for long life
- glow starter

this will most likely go into either another RC8, or, a losi 8ight.

Main requirements are the the engine is super easy to tune and HOLDs its tune. I don't want what happened before to happen again with the engine losing tune, won't fire, etc. even when having experienced guys working on it.

For fuel brand, looking for good price + prolonging engine life ratio.

Pretty much set on another AE starter box so all good there.

Thanks before hand.

Default nitro

Picco P7- good power, holds tune and long life.
Jammin pipes work well
O'donnell fuel is excellent
McCoy glow plugs work well and reasonable price.
I've been trying brushless for the past 2-3 months, at this point Nitro is more reliable and less trouble

Sorry to hear that. For me I have been nothing but happy with my brushless setups, even have a first gen MMM thats still working good.

That P7 I am looking at on amain his beyond my budget for the engine. any cheaper ones that are good?

I just picked up a Serio kanai evo2 from ebay for $161.50 and a used JP-3 for $45. I use the good old MC-59 plug in it and it runs great! I had a VZB
v-spec in it before, what a P.O.S. only lasted 1.5 gals! I will never buy O.S. again. Oh yea this is not my first nitro. I hane a novarossi with 12 gals, a serio with 8 and a pico with 4.5.
