Anyone try out GRP's Engine Tooling System yet?
After jacking up a >$130 C6 crankcase using OFNA "cheap" $50 bearing puller I've been looking at the RB rear bearing puller and the GRP engine tooling system. The GRP is more appealing as it has a tool to pull out the sleeve, which can sometimes be really hard to do. Anyone have experience with these tools?

I finally got mine a couple of months ago, but havn't got to use it yet.
Before I gotten mine, I've had Drake use his GRP tooling kit to replace bearings in several of my engine cases. Looked really easy to do and only took a couple of minutes.

RB's system is outstanding but pricey.
You really don't need any tools though. An oven or hot plate (I use a burner on the stove) really is the best way to do it. Allows you to install the bearings without putting any stress on them.

I did once have need of an oven at a slot car race. Fortunately the local pizza shop obliged.
I have no problem with using a tool to remove a bearing (though so far I have found it unnecessary). I just don't like the idea of pressing them in.
This GRP set sounds interesting but I haven't seen it. Any pics?

I never needed one before trying to replace a few of the old style MR ninja bearings and now I wouldn't do it without one. It's not cheap but if your a serious racer away from home it's a handy thing to have if your at a big race...

Anyone know where I can buy one of these engine tooling kits online? Amain doesn't seem to carry them anymore and they aren't on ebay.
Has the product number changed?
The only website that seems to have them is here, but they are OOS.
The product is still referenced on Losi's Site.
Thoughts?

The GRP engine tool is a must for anyone who races and works on their own stuff. Changing engine bearings takes literally 5 mins once you have the engine apart and the tool helps pull out stubborn sleeves. This tool is a must have. I love mine. I agree it almost makes changing bearings fun . I highly recommend getting one.
