Default Glow Plug popped out while running..

Can a Glow Plug fly out while running? It was nice and tight before I started running my buggy tonight. I just lost power and I noticed that the Glow Plug was missing. Ever see this?

Yup twice,

I did it once in my xtm and my buddy did it once in his buggy. His was cooler because it happened at night thing shot 6 feet in the air looked like shooting star. Apparentlly it was not as tight as you thought it was. Don't start cranking down on it though it was a mistake and they happen. Sometimes that brass ring gets worn you have to remember it's really soft metal.

Happened to me. I put in a glow plug and tightened it down. Apparently not enough, cause it was on the track when it suddenly died. We looked and sure enough the glow plug was missing!

So I put a new one in and tightened it down a bit more than the first one and no problems.....

I stripped a button head once from overtightening. Caused the same result.

Problem is I have no new plugs and a three day weekend I have to find a local hobby shop to get a couple.

I didn't crank it down too hard. Just until it stopped.
