Exclamation Engine Temp question ...input...

Hello well just after resetting up my engine yesterday and was racing all day today the engine ran excellent for the first time in ages getting 12 mins a tank so easily making the 10 min efra ruled heats without piting, 5 heats where ran today all of which i feel i did very well pushed hard and was rewarded, after 10 mins engine temps ranged from 112c to 121c

my question is tomorrow if i keep up the work the A final is 1hour long, should i richen my engine slighlty bought 1/8 high end

or will the tempeture it reaches after 10mins remian the same until 1 hour of flat out running is it the max/optimum temp it will reach?
if you understand what im asking.

thanks adam

You were 144f - 153f for the fahrenheit guys and those are good temps. If it aint broke don't fix it. Take a temp test during your pit if it needs it richen it then, oherwise run the hell out of it.

personally I run the main harder than the quals. I richen my engine up 1/2 hour before the main. But if you drive the same in all races, I would leave it alone.

100C = 212F - Boiling point on both scales, so 112C has to be over 212F. Actually, 112C is 233.6F, 121C is 249.8F.

Conversion C to F = degC * (9/5) + 32

The temps look good btw, but for a full hr main, I'd richen just slightly too.

Are you saying 1/4 of a turn? or 1/4 of an hour. Big. Big difference..

Naw, when you say 1/4 turn, I think 3 hours. So when I richen it up 1/2 hour, that means that I turn the HSN open just a "smidge".
