Default Difference between 8ight race roller & Competition versions

What exactly are the differences between the losi 8ight Race Roller and the Losi 8ight Competition versions?

Yeah, and it's good to go through the race roller and make sure they tightened and loctited everything that needs it.

Thanks for the info. Seen some good deals on the competition, but the race roller was still about the same across the board.

I bought the race roller, and took it completly apart when I got it home. Good thing though.. The center diff had maybe 3 drops of fluid in it, plus they went crazy with the thread lock. I found quite a few nuts and bolts that weren't even snugged. And the tires stayed glued to the rims for all of 5 minutes. I love my Eight, but recomend getting the kit. That way you know it was built right.

Partsl wise they are the same except for tires like badassrevo stated. They differ in the chassis setup, shock positions, shock oil, shock pistons, wheelbase, camber links, and a few more. But a kit car can be setup just like this so there is no difference really. They are the same car. One is in bags and the other is pre-assembled.

It's like having the kid at the LHS assemble it for you. Gotta pay the shop rate.

i bought the pro buggy kit and had a blast putting it together. never put a motor and electronics in it cause i won a raceroller in a raffle. i like building my cars that way you know how to work on it. raceroller was great right out of the box. pre-glued tires lasted about 5 min and all four were coming off the rims. they used way to much red loctite also. im selling my buggy that i put together if interested. pretty much raceroller with tires that will stay on. pm me if interested
